Monica Collins - REALTOR®
A Chicago native, I have spent my adult life in Dallas, TX and San Diego, CA before making Columbia home in 2011. We love Columbia and have purchased two different homes in the last ten years. Our family includes six adult children, and our first grandbaby on the way in June. We are a military family. My husband retired after 23 years of service in the Air Force, Army and Missouri National Guard. We have 3 sons who have served, or are currently serving in the Marine Corps, Missouri Air National Guard and the Missouri Army National Guard. My hobbies include gardening, following the Mizzou Tigers, trying to better my golf game and home decorating.
I trained as a vocalist and K-12 music teacher, which led to a 20+ year career in philanthropy (music programs always need money). Helping people is part of who I am. I believe in giving back to a number of non-profit organizations both nationally and in the community.
Prior to joining the House of Brokers family, I worked in the University of Missouri System for 8 1/2 years, most recently as Director of Advancement, facilitating and guiding donors to making transformational gifts. It was a joyful experience to witness people realize their dreams and help them create lasting impacts.
Having experienced the home-buying process 11 times myself, I understand the myriad of issues that can arise. My role as a REALTOR® is to make the process of buying or selling your home run as smoothly as possible for you. Your goals are mine, and I am here to help you. Whether selling, buying or simply educating yourself on how best to position yourself for the future, it would be my honor to be your go-to agent.
